Export your account data

You can request a copy of the account information Dixl stores about you. The export contains only server-side metadata — your messages are not on the server and are not included.

What’s included

• Account identifiers (phone number, ACI, PNI).
• Profile name and profile-photo metadata.
• Username, if set.
• Device list (linked devices, names, last seen).
• Group memberships (group IDs, not group content).

What’s not included

• Message content — stored only on your devices, never on Dixl servers.
• Contact names and phone numbers of people you message.
• Call logs and media.

Request the export

1. Open Settings › Account › Account data.
2. Tap Request report.
3. Within a few minutes you’ll get a downloadable JSON file on the same screen.

The export is plain JSON — safe to open in any text editor. Field names follow the Dixl API schema.

FAQ

Are my messages in the export? No — messages live only on your devices, so the server has nothing to export.

What format is the report? Plain JSON, readable in any text editor.

How long does it take? Usually a few minutes; the download appears on the same screen.
